Northern Iowa farmer encounters black bear while harvesting corn
A farmer harvesting corn in northern Iowa had quite a surprise encounter Tuesday - with a black bear.
According to a Facebook post by Eric Reicks, he was working in a field four miles northwest of Schley, in northern Iowa's Howard County, on Tuesday when the encounter occurred.
'Finishing up last few rows of corn, Dad called said there's something ahead of me,” Reicks wrote on Facebook. 'Never would of (sic) guessed it to be a bear! Glad I wasn't too far from the tractor.”
