Prayer disobeyed first commandment

To the editor:
What would Jesus do? In regards to prayer Jesus said, 'This, then, is how you should pray: Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name…” (Matt. 5:9).
Jesus was very clear we are to pray to only the one true God and honor his name only. Jesus was in no way for 'inclusion” or to be 'open and welcoming” when it came to prayer and worship of God.
WWJD? Jesus would say the same thing he said when he began his ministry, 'Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is near” (Matt. 4:17). Why should we repent? Because whenever we pray, worship, honor or have other Gods we are breaking the first commandment, 'Thou shall have no other Gods before me” (Exodus 20:3).
Remember what happened to Pharaoh and his army when he didn't listen? WWJD? Jesus taught that he was the only 'Way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me” (John 14:6). Peter, taught by Jesus said the same thing, 'Salvation is found in no one else (than Jesus)” (Acts 4:12). When Jesus spoke these words 2000 years ago, he was mocked, ridiculed, reviled, hated and ultimately killed just because he was telling the truth. WWJD? The same thing he did when they spit upon him, wagged their fingers at him, denied him and nailed him to a tree. Jesus would say, 'Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing” (Luke 23:34).
