Jerry Linn Mull, 71, of Olin, died Saturday, March 31, 2018, at St. Luke's Hospital in Cedar Rapids. A celebration of his life will be held from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. June 9 at the Lawrence
Center in Anamosa.
Jerry was born Nov. 8, 1946, in Anamosa, the son of Homer and Lucille (Axline) Mull. He graduated from Springville High School and worked as a mechanic and a heavy equipment operator, most recently for Ken-Way Sewer and Excavation. He retired in 2014.
In his spare time, he enjoyed hunting and fishing. He drove stock cars and was a great storyteller. Above all, he loved spending time with his family.
He is survived by his children, Jeff Mull, Anamosa, Joyce (Dave) Busenbark, Marion, Jeannette (Dave) Clark, Olin, Kristine (Kevin) Frane, Hudson, Wis., Shane Mull, Monticello, and Kallie (Derek Steffen) Mull, Earlville; his 10 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; a brother, Donald Mull, Forrest Hill, La.; and a sister, Karen Moore, College Park, Md.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Joseph "Butch" and Larry; and a sister in infancy, Kathy.
Memorials may be directed to the family and may be sent to the Goettsch Funeral Home, Anamosa, where Jerry's family is being cared for.
