Smith, Diane DeSotel
Diane DeSotel Smith, 59, of Indianapolis, formerly of Marion, died Friday, Jan. 14, 2011.
Survivors include her parents, Larry and Betty DeSotel of Marion; a daughter, Bianca Smith of Indianapolis; a brother, David DeSotel of Cedar Rapids; a sister, Debbie Goddard of Harrison, Ark.; four grandsons; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Diane P. (DeSotel) Smith was born Sept. 15, 1951, to Larry and Gertrude DeSotel in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Her early career was as an LPN nurse, later earning her bachelor's degree from Mount Mercy College for a career in programming.
Diane was blessed with the birth of her daughter, Bianca, from her marriage with Kevin Smith.
She enjoyed nature, reading, games and spending time with her grandsons.
We really miss Diane but know that our loving memories will outlast this painful grief.
