Letter: Rep. King’s views do not represent Iowa values

I read with great interest the guest column by David Bringman in the April 26 Gazette ('Some questions about ‘other people's babies'”). That was a great 'calling out” of Rep. Steve King's comments about other people's babies.
Rep. King continues with his racist and divisive remarks that do not represent Iowa values. The citizens that Bringman wrote about have made sacrifices to defend, live and raise families in our great country. Has Rep. King made sacrifices? He dropped out of college after drawing a safe number in the Vietnam draft lottery so I guess he sacrificed his senior year of education.
The voting public I converse with are convinced that the evangelical vote propels Rep. King into office. If this is true, when can we expect Rep. King to speak about good Christian values?
