Lee M. Smith Jr., 74, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, passed away Thursday, Feb. 22, 2018, at the Iowa City Rehabilitation Center, Iowa City, Iowa. Visitation: 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 28, at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids. The funeral service will begin at 1 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial: Linwood Cemetery, Cedar Rapids.
Lee was born March 8, 1943, in Cedar Rapids, the son of Lee and Claire (Tufts) Smith Sr. His pastime was playing pool, and he was an Elvis Presley fan.
Lee is survived by his brother, Dave (Tracy) Smith of Colorado Springs, Colo.; lifelong friend, Carol Larson of Cedar Rapids; sister-in-law, Debbie Smith of Cedar Rapids; and his nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lee Sr. and Claire; brother, Steven Smith; and sister, Shirley Hass.
