Blairstown
Kenneth M. Smith, 93, formerly of Blairstown, died Friday, Dec. 5, 2014, at Keystone Care Center in Keystone. Funeral services: 11 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 9, at Kloster Funeral Home, Marengo, with the Rev. Matt German officiating. Burial will be in the Marengo Cemetery, with military honors. The family will receive friends from 9 to 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Memorials may be contributed to the Alzheimer's Association or Keystone Care Center.
Kenneth is survived by two daughters, Sandy Cerveny of Flossmoor, Ill., and Lea Longfellow and husband Bill of Alburnett; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; a brother, Donald Smith of Anamosa; and a sister-in-law, Bev Smith of East Moline, Ill.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ray and Lucy Andes Smith; his wife, Catherine Mae Parry Smith, in August 2014; and five brothers, Lawrence, Gerald, Wallace, Ray Jr. and Gary.
