Judith "Judy" Ann Sloan, 69, of Brooklyn, formerly of Cedar Rapids, passed away Wednesday,
May 7, 2014, at Brooklyn Community Estates. A funeral service will be 10 a.m. Monday, May 12, at St. Bridget Catholic Church in Victor, with the Rev. Brian Shepley officiating. Interment will be at Calvary Cemetery in Victor following the funeral services on Monday. Visitation will be from 2 until 7 p.m., with the family present from 4 to 7, on Sunday, May 11, at Smith Funeral Home in Victor. A rosary will be recited at 4 p.m. and a Scripture service held at 7 p.m. Sunday.
Memorials may be directed to the Judith Sloan Memorial Fund and sent in care of Smith Funeral Home, P.O. Box 485, Victor, IA 52347.
Judy is survived by her daughter; Annette (Jeff) Lockwood of Falling Waters, W.Va.; sisters, Joan (Ed) Doran of Victor and Kathy (Bill) Rashid of Merrit Island, Fla.; and brothers, Ray (Pam) Thys of Marion and Jim (Ruth Ann ) Thys of Victor.
