Wayne Schafbuch, 72, of Victor, passed away peacefully with his son at his side on Thursday, Sept. 27, 2018, at Grinnell Regional Medical Center after having been at home under the care of Grinnell Regional Hospice, his loving wife, and son.
A funeral service will be held at
10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 3, 2018, at the Smith Funeral Home in Victor with Pastor Jim Davis, Victor United Methodist Church, officiating. Interment with military honors will be at Ohio Cemetery south of Ladora. A reception will follow at the Victor American Legion.
Visitation will begin at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Smith Funeral Home and the family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m.
Memorials may be designated to Grinnell Regional Hospice and mailed in care of the Smith Funeral Home, P.O. Box 485, Victor, IA 52347. Memories and condolences may be shared with his family online at www.smithfh.com.
