ROCKY PRITCHARD

Rocky Pritchard, 60, of Palo, passed away peacefully at his home after a courageous battle with cancer. He was surrounded by loved ones as he graduated to be with the Lord.
Visitation will be held on Friday, Oct. 5, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Cedar Memorial Park, State Room, The funeral will held Saturday, Oct. 6, at 10 a.m. at Calvary Community Church, 327 35th St. NE, Cedar Rapids. Burial will follow at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery.
Through the years, Rocky had the opportunity to live in many places in our country, but he returned home to Iowa and has been a longtime resident of Cedar Rapids. He worked in the transportation industry for several companies and was a business owner twice.
Rocky was a loving husband, father and grandfather, with a quick wit and a mischievous grin.
He is survived by his wife, Debi; children, Derek Pritchard, Joseph Pritchard, Blake Pritchard (Becky), Joshua Pritchard (Stacy), Andrew Pritchard, Katheryn Suchan (Zach), Crystee Close, Tanda Jolly (Brandon), Isaac Bartlett (Kali), Nicholas McIntyre and Nathan Packman; 17 grandchildren; sisters, Rene Peterson, Dallas Nippert (Aaron) and Tracy Meyers; and brother, Mike Mahedy (Beki).
He was preceded in death by his loving parents, Virgil and Claire Pritchard; and his birth mother, Judy Carter.
