Three vehicle crash injures two in Linn County

Two women are recovering Sunday following a three car crash in rural Linn County.
The Linn County Sheriff's Office says the accident happened just after 7:00 p.m. Saturday at the intersection of County Home Rd. and Wind & Fire Ln.
Deputies say Heidi McDonald of Cedar Rapids was stopped at the intersection waiting to turn. A second vehicle behind her, driven by Chad Arp, of Cedar Rapids, also stopped. Officers said a third vehicle, driven by Thomas Uthoff of Waterloo, failed to stop at the intersection rear-ending the two stopped cars.
McDonald and her passenger, Marcy Delarm of Maquoketa, were taken to Mercy Hospital with what officers believed were minor injuries.
Deputies say the crash is under investigation.
