Car accident near Iowa City leaves elderly woman trapped briefly
A single car accident left an elderly woman trapped briefly along Highway 1 southwest of Iowa City on Monday afternoon.
The driver of the vehicle, 90-year-old Dorothy Fisher of Keswick, was reaching for a "fallen object" when she drove across the south bound lane and lost control of her vehicle, according to police reports. The sedan entered the west ditch and rolled onto its top.
Fisher was taken to the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. Her condition is currently unknown.
