REJINA "JEANNIE" WIRTH Cedar Rapids Rejina "Jeannie" Wirth, 68, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, passed away Tuesday, Aug. 7, 2018, at her home surrounded by her family. Visitation: 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, Aug. 10, 2018, at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids. Funeral service: 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 11, 2018, at the funeral home. Jeannie was born Sept. 29, 1949, in Cedar Rapids, the daughter of Frank and Edith (Miller) Tharp. Jeannie was a lifelong resident of Cedar Rapids. She married Jonny Wirth on Sept. 25, 1965, in Cedar Rapids. She enjoyed spending time with her family and she loved going gambling with her husband. Jeannie loved to go shopping, especially to Sam's Club. She had a huge heart and always was there for her family. Jeannie taught her family to be strong, confident, loving and respectful. The way her family is today is because of Jeannie. Jeannie is survived by her husband of 53 years, Jonny Wirth; children, Jonny (Dotie) Wirth Jr., Scott Wirth (Lisa Hohmann) and Angela (David) McKay; grandchildren, Joseph, Jacob, Matt, Kacey, Nikki, Jessica, Daniel, Colton, Savannah, Alexis and Jaxon; 12 great-grandchildren; and her beloved dog, Teddy Bear. She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Edith Tharp; sister, Carol Rossow; and grandparents, Joseph and Mary Miller.
