Letter: Veteran proud to be part of Honor Flight

I am a Marine veteran of the Korean conflict.
I was invited on the October Honor Flight to Washington, D.C. I was never so proud to be a veteran and a citizen of Cedar Rapids.
When we arrived at the Capitol, there were citizens waiting to greet us and give thanks for our service. There were people from other countries doing the same. When we arrived home there were many people to greet us.
I want to thank the Cedar Rapids Gazette and sponsors, neighbors and friends.
I'm proud to be an American and Cedar Rapids citizen.
