David L. Norte, 69, of Manchester, passed away Monday, Jan. 28, 2019. Visitation: 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, Feb. 1, at Bohnenkamp-Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Manchester, with additional visitation one hour prior to services Saturday at the church. Funeral services: 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 2, at United Methodist Church, Manchester. Burial: Fairview Cemetery, Earlville.
David was born Aug. 22, 1949, the son of Floyd and Burnadette (Thibadeau) Norte. David worked at Pizza Ranch for more than 14 years and Old 20 Auctions. He volunteered regularly at Second Helpings, WOW and Share the Harvest. He enjoyed staying busy, collecting pop cans and helping neighbors. David was a member of Manchester United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his sister, Joyvonne Chapman of Oneida; stepbrother, Dennis (Julie) Thibadeau of Dubuque; and half brothers, Richard Thibadeau and Larry Thibadeau.
David was preceded in death by his parents; stepfather; brother, Floyd Jr.; half brother, Bill Hartkemeyer; half sister, Carol Mederale; and nephew, Larry Thibadeau Jr.
The family would like to extend a special thank-you to Brad Davis of Pizza Ranch, Transitional Living, Rachel Wilson and Above & Beyond Hospice for the care and kindness shown to David.
