Russell, Nancy A. (Ahrens)
Nancy A. (Ahrens) Russell, 66, of Rochester, Minn., died Tuesday, Aug. 23, 2011, at Mayo Clinic in Rochester. Graveside services: 2 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 28, at Campton Cemetery, Lamont.
Nancy was born Sept. 25, 1944, in Manchester, Iowa, the daughter of Alfred Ernest and Genevieve Blanche (Remling) Ahrens. Nancy was an office manager working with court reporting at Carney & Associates Inc. She married Robert Lee Russell on Dec. 26, 1964, in Kirksville, Mo. Robert passed away Aug. 3, 2011.
Survivors include children, Suzann Marie (Lenny) Bakken and Damon Scott (Amber) Russell, both of Rochester, Minn. Also surviving are her grandchildren, Nevaeh Paige Crowson, Caitlin Rose Bakken and Logan Lee Bakken; and a sister, Bette J. (Bill) Raus of Winthrop.
She will be greatly missed by all of her dear friends and family.
Nancy was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband, Robert.
She enjoyed knitting, sewing, reading, and visiting with friends and family. She enjoyed getting to know her three grandchildren.
