Michael Ray Weseman, 70, of Irmo, S.C., formerly of Olin, died peacefully Sunday, Nov. 27, 2016, following a short illness.
Survivors include a son, Brian Weseman (Annette); son, Chad Weseman; grandson, Tanner Weseman; a niece; nephews; and several cousins.
Michael was born May 3, 1946, in Waterloo, Iowa. Through his life, he enjoyed farming, 4-H, golfing, fishing and playing cards.
Michael moved to Irmo, S.C., in 2014. There, he enjoyed spending time with his grandson and making new friends at Generations of Irmo. While living in Irmo, he remained a loyal Hawkeye fan.
He was preceded in death by parents, Henry and Arlene Weseman; and brother and sister-in-law, James and Nancy Jurgenson.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Camp Courageous in Monticello.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Dec. 28 at Lahey Funeral Home in Olin, with visitation at 1 p.m. Burial will be in the Olin Cemetery.
