Pharr, Texas
Dale H. Sills, 79, of Pharr, Texas, formerly of Cedar Rapids, passed away of a heart attack on Wednesday, June 13, 2018, at Rio Grande Regional Hospital. A visitation will be on Wednesday, June 27, 2018, from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Cedar
Memorial Chapel of Memories Stateroom. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, June 28, 2018, at 3 p.m. at Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories.
Dale was born on Aug. 11, 1938, in Marion, the son of Richard R. and Betty C. (Simonsen) Sills. After graduating high school, he served in the Navy. He married Laurel Burgess on Nov. 23, 1963.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Left to cherish Dale's memories are his wife, Laurel Sills of Pharr, Texas; four children, Linda, Linette, Sheryl and Michael; five grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and four siblings, Shirley, Karen, Dick and Bob.
In lieu of flowers, memorials will be directed to the family in memory of Dale.
