Jean Nunemaker, 90, of Marion, passed away July 23, 2016. She was born in Brooklyn, N.Y., on Feb. 11, 1926, to John and Helen Malinowski.
Jean married Francis L. Nunemaker on Dec. 28, 1944, at St. Matthew Catholic Church in Cedar Rapids. From this union there were four children, 12 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
She is survived by her son, Steven (Tricia) Nunemaker of Newhall.
Preceding her in death were her parents, her husband, three daughters, one sister and one great-grandson.
Jean lived in Iowa for 70 years. Her passions were gardening, mushrooming, cooking, bowling, playing cards, fishing, reading and playing bingo at the Meskwaki Casino.
Jean's wishes were to be cremated with no visitation and no services. Her ashes will be buried privately at a later date.
