Four arrested for prostitution at Coralville hotel

Four women were arrested for prostitution Thursday night at a Coralville hotel.
Amanda L. Garren, 18, of Wilton, Rachel M. Foster, 20, of Peoria, Ill., and Erica E. Kauer, 19, and Stephanie M. South, 27, both of Silvis, Ill., were arrested at the Baymont Inn in Coralville.
Police were called to the hotel following reports of suspicious activity. Police said each woman admitted that they had posted ads online to meet men and had traveled to the hotel with intent to commit sex acts for money.
The women were taken to the Johnson County Jail and were being held Friday morning on $1,000 cash bond.
Prostitution is an aggravated misdemeanor punishable by up to two years in prison and a $6,250 fine.
