Video Sessions Part 2

Video 1 - I asked DE Drew Ott if the defense kind of saved the day (it did). He said, no, that the defense was just doing it's job. Well, it did its job exceedingly well on Saturday. Like one of the best efforts of the Ferentz era. Yes, Purdue is a mess, but so was Iowa's offense, so, yeah, the Iowa defense saved the day, for the most part.
Video 2 - DT Carl Davis said it wasn't one play for the defense on Saturday, it was series after series. Iowa's D-line was physical and the run fits were extremely tight, which was a big deal against Purdue, with its fast running backs.
Video 3 - Iowa RB Mark Weisman said pick 6, no problem for C.J. Beathard. Weisman wants faster starts from the offense, and that really is what needs to happen here.
Video 4 - Iowa FS John Lowdermilk would rather not the defense get gashed at the beginning of games. That has been the pattern, but that's how it's gone. 'It'd be nice not to get gashed at all.”
