Jack D. Prang, a resident of Mahnomen, Minn., formerly of Cedar Rapids, passed away Jan. 14, 2016, in his home after a fierce eight-year battle with cancer, at the age of 61.
Jack attended school at Thomas Jefferson Senior High in Minneapolis, Minn. He immediately served our country in the U.S. Marine Corps for four years. After an honorable discharge as an E-5 sergeant, he moved to Cedar Rapids and worked for the CRANDIC railroad as an engineer for a dozen plus years. Following that, Jack worked 25 years for Ozark National Life Insurance Co. and N.I.S. Financial Services.
He leaves behind his daughter, Susan; his son, Deane; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Jack was buried in the Fort Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis. Jack's favorite quote was "It's Always Something."
