Burns, Donald E.
AURORA - Donald E. Burns, 89, died Friday, Sept. 17, 2010, at Mercy Medical Center, Dubuque, after a short illness. Services: 2 p.m. Monday, Sept. 20, at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Winthrop. Burial: St. Patrick's Cemetery, Winthrop. Visitation: 1 to 4 p.m. today and until 1:30 p.m. Monday at Fawcett Funeral Home and Cremation Services in Winthrop, where a Scripture service will be held at 4 p.m. today.
Surviving family includes his wife, Anna of Dubuque; his three daughters, Becky (Ronald) Steffen of Peosta, Beverly (Jim) Spahn of Trussville, Ala., and Brenda (Michael) Vondran of Davenport; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; his sister, Shirley Whitney of Winthrop; and his brother, Robert Burns of Winthrop.
