Don Harden, 70, of Cedar Rapids, died Monday, March 23, 2015,
in St. Luke's Hospital. Services: 3 p.m. Friday at Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories where a visitation will begin at 2 p.m. Inurnment: Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. The Rev. Lloyd Brockmeyer will officiate. Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Survivors include his wife, Diane Harden; his children, James David Harden of Cedar Rapids, Doug Brian Harden of Winona, Minn., Dawn Harden (Varick Wilson) of Inver Grove Heights, Minn., and Darin (Nichole) Harden of Georgia; his siblings, Sandra (Larry) Nelson of Pierce, S.D., Melody Kuehn of Minneapolis, Minn., and Brad (Lynn) Harden of Helendale, Calif.; and his grandchildren, Dessare, Derek, Madalyn, Jackson and Leah Harden.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother-in-law, Jon Kuehn
Don was born May 11, 1944, in Hawarden, Iowa, the son of Edward and Lois (Rich) Harden. He married Diane Wyatt on April 26, 1969, in Mount Vernon, Iowa. Don was a mechanical engineer for Rockwell Collins. He also worked for H&R Block for 41 years. Don was a member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church. He enjoyed woodworking, visiting with people, traveling and spending time with his family. Don also volunteered at Y.M.C.A. Camp Wapsie. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
