'Fear the Fro' again: Askren wins Midlands 'Super Match'

Former NCAA champions Ben Askren and Jake Herbert provided a bit of a show for wrestling fans during the early session Thursday. The pair wrestled in a collegiate-style match after the semifinals.
Askren, a two-time NCAA champion at Missouri, came out playing to the crowd wearing a black-and-gold robe with “Funky” across the back. He came away with a 12-6 win over Herbert, a two-time NCAA champ for Northwestern, 12-6.
