Be cautious of energy alternatives

Solar energy has its merits, and windmills certainly are reminiscent of our Dutch heritage with the communities of Pella and Orange City.
There is a concern, however, regarding certain species of wildlife and the future of unlimited use of drones, which could damage the space taken up with the existing structures and perhaps designated airline space. We must not be unduly alarmed and worry about 'what-ifs” when we haven't crossed that bridge yet. However, negatives eventually could crop up. What will be, will be. Let's take a day at a time syndrome.
As to the future of coal (the least expensive of fuel sources), the idiocy of snuffing out any future use and relying heavily on solar and wind instead, well, it can lead t only o a future that will stifle out inexpensive electrical use. European nations tried to eliminate the use of coal to keep their environment 'pollution-free” only to jack up the cost of electricity and cause periods of 'blackouts.”
If that is what will occur here in the USA. Hold onto your hats, for we'll be in for chaos throughout our nation when our electrical bills become astronomical and we have blackouts.
We need to have people in government who are cautious with tax expenditures. You know we are the government and money doesn't come off trees in D.C. or money wells in Fort Knox, Ky. Pork barreling - 'eyes bigger than we can financially stomach” - are areas where we need to scrutinize those on both sides of the aisle that we elected and put in various government, state and local offices.
