Fisher Jr., Frank
Frank Fisher Jr., 95, of Clarence, died Thursday, July 8, 2010, in his home. Funeral services: 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. John's United Church of Christ, Clarence, by the Rev. Jeffrey Fisher. Burial: Clarence Cemetery. Visitation: 5 to 7 p.m. Monday at Chapman Funeral Home in Clarence.
Survivors include his son, Dennis of Cedar Rapids; grandchildren, Anthony Fisher of Ames, Gregory (Darath) Fisher of Pella and Jeffrey (Wendy) Fisher of Deerfield, Ill.; great-grandchildren, Trey, Malik, Chase and Elias; and brother, Leo (Wilma) Fisher of Clarence.
He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Sandra; and wife, Evelyn in February 2010.
Born Jan. 11, 1915, in Clarence, son of Frank and Elizabeth (Dettmann) Fisher, he married Evelyn Meier there on Dec. 21, 1941. He had worked as an insurance agent and farmed. He was a member of First Baptist-Church of the Brethren in Cedar Rapids. He was a lifelong member of the Church of the Brethren.
