Pursell, Eloise L.
Eloise L. Pursell, 83, of Monticello, died Tuesday evening, Dec. 14, 2010, at Mercy Medical Center, Cedar Rapids, following an extended illness. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 18, at the Goettsch Funeral Home, Monticello, where friends may call from 3 to 7 p.m. Friday. The Rev. Reed Stockman will officiate at the services. Interment will be in the Oakwood Cemetery.

Surviving is her husband, Don; two daughters, Sheri (Gary) Rushlo of Farmington, Minn., Judy Womack of San Diego, Calif.; a stepson, David Mausser of Zwingle; five grandchildren, John, Adam, Cory, Dawn and Craig; 10 stepgrandchildren, Greg, Amy, Abby, Gary, Erin, Chuck, Heidi, Bob, Julie and Dan; eight great-grandchildren; 21 stepgreat-grandchildren; and seven stepgreat-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Lawrence Mausser; a stepson, Vince Mausser; and a stepgrandson, David.
Eloise Lorraine Wright was born Dec. 19, 1926, at Monticello, Iowa. She was the daughter of Silas and Mary Bartels, Wright. Eloise attended the Monticello area schools. She married Lawrence Mausser on March 5, 1958, at Galena, Ill. The couple lived near Bernard where they farmed. They moved to Monticello in August 1965, and he preceded her in death on March 14, 1967.
Eloise was employed at Nelson Jewelry Store for many years. Eloise married Don Pursell on July 9, 1979. The couple made their home in Monticello, during the summer and wintered in Arizona for 13 years. She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church.
