Meskimen, Sharon Ann
Sharon Ann Meskimen, 62, of Swisher, died Thursday, Dec. 22, 2011, at home. Services: 10 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 27, at St. Patrick's Church, Fairfax, by Father Dustin Vu. Family will greet friends from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids, where a rosary will be recited at 4:30 p.m. and a Scripture service will begin at 7 p.m. Burial: Blaine Cemetery, Swisher.
Survivors: her husband, Dave; her children, Brett (Shonda), Scott (Amy) and Craig (Ashley); her mother, Adelaide Burger of Fairfax; six grandchildren, Cayden, Connor, Charley, Owen, Olivia and Claire; three sisters, Marcia (Ken) Caldbeck of Alabama, Nancy Finney of Cedar Rapids and Pam Burger of Texas; and a brother, Dennis Burger of Cedar Rapids.
She was preceded in death by her father, Myron Burger.
Sharon was born Oct. 24, 1949, the daughter of Myron and Adelaide (Zamastil) Burger, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. On Sept. 19, 1970, she was united in marriage to Dave Meskimen in Fairfax, Iowa. For 43 years, Sharon has worked for the College Community School District.
