Woman caught trying to steal merchandise from Kohl's
Store employees stopped a woman who tried to steal items valued at $1,300 from a Cedar Rapids department store on Wednesday.
Lori R. Ewoldt, 49, of Marion, was arrested for second-degree theft after police said she attempted to take mostly bedding and makeup from Kohl's, 361 Collins Rd. NE. According to the police report, she pushed the cart full of items outside around noon before she was stopped by employees.
Police soon arrived and took Ewoldt to the Linn County Jail.
