Braley is a strong voice for vets

Petty partisan attacks are not what an election is supposed to be about. Our efforts, energies and attentions should be on issues.
Speaking as a disabled veteran who put his life on the line for our country, and someone who volunteers to support fellow veterans and their families, the recent attacks on Bruce Braley's record on veterans' issues are anathema and bereft of substance.
Issues concerning and affecting veterans should be above political attacks, especially when the attacks have no foundation. Braley is an outspoken advocate for veterans, assisting my brothers- and sisters-in-arms when they return home from combat, working beyond partisanship to improve services for disabled veterans and being a strong and capable voice for those without a million-dollar PR firm at their disposal.
Braley campaigns on the issues. His opponent and her supporters don't seem capable of such discussions and instead resort to unfounded attacks (http://goo.gl/loqwvh). Joni Ernst supports privatizing Social Security, voucherizing Medicare and eliminating the federal minimum wage. Her attempts to distract voters from these issues won't work.
As an Iowan, an American, a veteran, my choice at the polls is clear: I'm supporting Braley because, as we say in the military, I know he has our 'six.”
