Louvar, Lottie
Lottie Louvar, 94, died Sunday, April 8, 2012, at Living Center East. Services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, April 12, at Brosh Chapel in Cedar Rapids, located at 2121 Bowling St. SW., with the Rev. Glenn Hunt presiding. Burial will follow in Czech National Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour before services at Brosh Chapel.
Lottie was born Sept. 14, 1917, in Cedar Rapids, the daughter of Frank and Anna (Pecina) Hekl. She married Frank Louvar on Feb. 25, 1936. He died March 26, 1975. Lottie worked for the Cedar Rapids School System for many years as a cashier in the school cafeteria. She enjoyed traveling, bowling, music and playing the keyboard, volunteering in gift shop at Mercy Hospital and spending time with her family, especially the grandkids. She was a member of Hus Memorial Presbyterian Church.
Lottie is survived by her children, Joan (Henry) Moses of Ely, Judy (Doug) Blue of Clinton, and Sandy (Harold) Willingham of Iowa City; six grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; and a sister, Henrietta Klouda of Cedar Rapids.
Lottie was preceded in death by her parents;, her husband, Frank; a brother, Milo Hekl; and a sister, Olga Short.
Memorials may be directed to the donor's choice.
