Whittenbaugh, Dorothy Peeper Halsted
Dorothy Peeper Halsted Whittenbaugh, 92, of Elgin, died Monday, Oct. 15, 2012, at the Good Samaritan Center in West Union.
Survivors include her children, Darla DeWitte of Elgin, Jerry (Cheryl) Halsted of La Crosse, Wis., Stella (Willard) Hoing of Silver Spring, Md. and Nancy (William) Grindle of Marion; nine grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 20, at Illyria Community Church, rural Elgin, where friends may call after 10 a.m. until service time. Burial will be at 1:45 p.m. Saturday, at Taylorville Cemetery, rural Arlington. Leonard Funeral Home in Elkader is in charge of arrangements.
