U.S. Rep. John Delaney, the first Democrat to declare his candidacy for president in 2020, is releasing his third television ad in Iowa on Thursday.
The ad touts his background as a businessman who has helped to create jobs.
Delaney, who represents a district in Maryland, has said he plans to spend $1 million on TV ads in Iowa over a month. The first aired during the Super Bowl.
This new ad, which is called 'Jobs,” says Delaney helped create thousands of jobs by building companies 'dedicated to financing small businesses the big banks ignored.”
The ad features scenes in Iowa.
Delaney, who was elected to Congress in 2012, founded two Maryland-based business, CapitalSource, a business lender, as well as HealthCare Financial Partners, a finance company in the health care field.
So far, he is the only person to have announced he's running for president.
The new ad will run in the Des Moines and Cedar Rapids markets. The Super Bowl ad, which called for more bipartisanship, ran statewide.
