Tyrone W. Downs, 44, died suddenly at home on Sunday, June 19, 2016.
Tyrone was born on Feb. 1, 1972, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, to Ronald Downs Sr. and Madeline (Hillsman) Downs. He graduated from Prairie High School in 1990. After that, he attained Associate of Applied Science, Industrial Maintenance and HHAD, HVAC Technology, in May 2012. He previously worked at PMX Industries of Cedar Rapids, Iowa. He loved listening to music, barbecuing, spending time with family and flying model airplanes.
He is survived by his sons, Deshjon Wara of Omaha, Neb., and MarTavian Borseth of Cedar Rapids; daughter, Kahmara Downs of Cedar Rapids; special son, Keenan Borseth of Cedar Rapids; brother, Ronald Downs Jr.; sister, Jacqueline Dennis of Cedar Rapids; and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Madeline Downs; and grandparents, Lincoln and Jessie Hillsman and William and Gwendolyn Downs.
Services will held at the Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories on Sunday, June 26, at 11 a.m. Russell E. Dobbins will officiate. Memorial donations may be made to the family to help with funeral expenses.
