Mar. 6, 2012 6:45 am
A 23-year-old Iowa City man arrested in May on suspicion of attempted murder after police said he threatened to kill two individuals and fired a gun was sentenced Tuesday morning to five years in prison.
Kevin L Perry pleaded guilty in January to intimidation with a dangerous weapon and control of a weapon by a felon as part of a plea deal. The attempted murder charge against him was dropped. He was sentenced in Johnson County District Court Tuesday morning to five years in prison and fines.
According to police, Perry
threatened to kill two people during an argument on May 14 before pointing a gun at them and firing one shot. No one was injured and everyone fled the scene, police reported.
