Iowa City man charged with sexually assaulting 14-year-old girl

An Iowa City man is arrested after police say he sexually assaulted a 14-year-old girl on Saturday.
According to police Chad Anciaux, 23, met the victim at Iowa City's Pedestrian Mall around 4:30 Saturday afternoon. The victim says Anciaux gave her an unknown beverage and after consuming the drink, she passed out. Police say that when the victim regained consciousness, she was being sexually assaulted several blocks away from her previous location.
Police arrested Anciaux early Sunday morning in Iowa City. Anciaux told police the sex was consensual and he believed the girl was 15-years-old.
Anciaux is charged with 3rd-degree sexual abuse. He was taken to the Johnson County jail.
