IOWA CITY — The Iowa football team is ranked No. 15 in the Amway Coaches Preseason Poll released Monday.
The Hawkeyes' preseason national ranking of No. 15 is its highest since 2010, when Iowa was ranked No. 9 by the Associated Press.
Iowa is one of four Big Ten teams ranked in the poll, joining Ohio State (5), Michigan (8) and Michigan State (11). Wisconsin, Northwestern, Nebraska and Indiana received votes.
Alabama, Clemson, Oklahoma and Florida State join Ohio State in the top 5, respectively.
Michigan is the only preseason top-25 team on Iowa's 2016 schedule. The Wolverines visit Kinnick Stadium on Nov. 12.
The Hawkeyes finished last season ranked 10th after going 12-2.
