Anita E. Fite, 66, of Marion, formerly of Park View, Iowa, passed away after a long illness on Tuesday, Nov. 21, 2017, at Mercy Medical Center, Cedar Rapids. Services will be at a later date. Arrangements by Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Marion.
Anita was born Oct. 9,
1951, in Ottumwa, Iowa. She worked as a nurse at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics for over 20 years, retiring in 2012.
Anita loved spending time with her grandchildren, going to the beach, traveling and the entire holiday season from October through December.
She is survived by her daughter, Amy, and her husband, Ken Miell, and their children, Jessica, Jonah, Katie, Dausen and Spencer; son, Andrew, and his wife, Gina Fite, and their children, Alexander, Erica and Isabelle; son, Matthew, and his wife, Liz Fite, and their children, Austin, Lyric, Olivia and Lila; sister, Lou Ann Skinner; and many nieces and nephews.
Anita was preceded in death by her mother, Donna Starkey, and sister, Debora Fite.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family.
