Longing for days when scandal was unusual

Oh how I long for the days when the biggest presidential scandals were the wearing of a tan suit or talking of fancy mustard. I long for days when the First Lady, gasp, dared to promote healthy eating for our children.
I long for days when our president wasn't being sued by porn stars, or women whom he sexually assaulted. I long for days when there was no Access Hollywood tape.
I long for days when massive storms weren't described as 'really wet, in terms of water,” and our president could pronounce 'anonymous.” I long for days when our president did not govern by Twitter.
I long for days when those in the president's party actually challenged him on issues instead of placating him in order to maintain the party's control.
I long for days - oh, how I long for days - when our president was presidential.
