Iowa high school girls’ basketball rankings: Top teams hold serve heading to break

We head to the holiday break (after a few games Thursday) in girls' basketball with changes to the top five of the IGHSAU rankings in only one class. Nevada moved up three spots to No. 4 in Class 4A while Grinnell fell to fifth and Carlisle dropped from No. 5 to No. 12.
Otherwise, the top teams held serve.
Indianola (5A), Pella (4A), Pocahontas Area (3A), Iowa City Regina (2A) and Springville (1A) remain No. 1.
Area movers included Linn-Mar dropping from 12th to 13th in 5A, Western Dubuque (No. 8) and Cedar Rapids Xavier (No. 10) each moving up a spot in 4A and Monticello sliding three places to No. 14 in 3A.
