Iowa City to hold meeting on proposed Taft Speedway levee
IOWA CITY – Iowa City will host a public forum on the controversial levee proposed for Taft Speedway Street on Aug. 25.
The forum will give people a chance to provide input about a study that is being conducted to determine the possible effects of a levee on the neighborhood and the nearby Parkview Terrace neighborhood, which is along the Iowa River on the north side of town.
The meeting will last from 6 to 8 p.m. at Parkview Church, 15 Foster Rd. Anyone in need of special accommodations or translation services can contact Jason Reichart at (319) 356 5416 or jason-reichart@iowa-city.org.
