HAROLD "BUD" EVERETT LOERCH

Harold "Bud" Everett Loerch, 81, of Marion, Iowa, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Saturday, Feb. 17, 2018.
A public visitation will be held from 4 to 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 27, at First United Methodist Church, 1277 Eighth Ave., Marion, Iowa. A private celebration of life ceremony will follow at 7 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations to honor Bud's life may be made to: Rapp Family Hematology Research Fund at the James Cancer Hospital and Solove Research Institute, The Ohio State University, P.O. Box 183112, Columbus, Ohio 43218.
Born June 27, 1936, in North Dakota to the Rev. Harold and Dorothy (Brown) Loerch, Bud married Arlene Hamer on March 5, 1961. He is survived by Arlene, his wife of nearly 57 years; two daughters, Vicki Stoltenberg and her husband Brad (Robins) and Julie Loerch and her husband Philip Beirne (Cincinnati); four grandchildren, Wylie Hachey and his wife Carly, Nikki Hachey, Alexa Dornbrook and her husband Garrett, and Taylor Beirne; two great-grandsons, Owen and Reece Hachey; sisters Marilyn Soles, Shirley Bator and Judy Koptik; and brother David Loerch.
A special thank-you to the James Center's doctors and nurses for their exhaustive research and clinical studies to fight chronic lymphocytic leukemia, and to St. Luke's Hospital/UnityPoint Hospice for their loving care and support.
