Jesus-like image should have stayed on truck

We are blessed to have a great fire department. I know because my son's family had their house struck by lightning last July and it caught fire. When my son and his wife got home, the firefighters asked whether there were items they needed out of the house. The firefighters went in and brought them out. They risk their lives routinely. We are grateful for the professional work they do.
Recently, one person complained about a spiritual image on one of the Cedar Rapids firetrucks' aerial bucket. The image contained a shadow at the side of a firefighter. It could be perceived as Jesus.
Fire Chief Mark English said the firefighters' consensus was, 'We've got bigger things to deal with than this.”
That is true; their job is to fight fires. But with the element of danger in this task, I would like to think 'Jesus has their back, protecting them as they work.” I believe Jesus will have their back whether or not his image is portrayed. How sad is it that after one complaint we must paint over this spiritual image? There are more than 56,000 Christians in Linn County. How is it that after one complaint about an image of a shadow that could represent Jesus it needs to be painted over? Is this politically correct? Is it correct? I am formally complaining.
