WILLIAM FRED FEUSS

William Fred Feuss, 87, a recent resident of the Solon Retirement Village and longtime resident of Lisbon, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, April 19, 2016, at the Dennis and Donna Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy, Hiawatha, surrounded by his family. Visitation: 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, April 21, at Stewart Baxter Funeral & Memorial Services, Mount Vernon. Celebration of Life: 10:30 a.m. Friday, April 22, at Lisbon United Methodist Church by Pastor Thomas Mattson. Burial: Lisbon Cemetery.
Survivors include his daughters, Betty (Tom) Meeker of Lisbon, Beverly (Tom) Marshall of Moore, Okla., Brenda (Ron) Bedell of Lisbon and Jo (Randy) Harman of Mount Vernon; 22 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Bill was born Sept. 10, 1928, in Toronto, Iowa, the son of William and Frieda (Kriepke) Feuss. On Dec. 24, 1952, he married Evelyn "Bonnie" Klouda in Cedar Rapids. William was a jack of all trades, working as a truck driver for Nash Finch, B&G Feed & Grain and Wilkin Elevator. Bill also worked as a farm manager for Tonne Farms and in the maintenance department for Cornell College. Following retirement, he also worked for Lloyd Table.
Bill enjoyed fishing, camping, gardening and woodworking. He loved to play euchre and visit with people. He never met a stranger and was a friend to everyone. His family and friends will treasure his memory.
He was preceded in death by the love of his life, Evelyn "Bonnie;" his parents; six brothers; and three sisters.
Memorials may be directed to the Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy.
