Byers, Ina Mae
Ina Mae Byers, 85, of Monticello, died Thursday, April 11, 2013, at her home surrounded by her loving family. A Memorial Service will be 11:30 a.m. Monday, April 15, at First Baptist Church of Anamosa. A visitation will be held at 10:30 a.m. before the service. In mom's memory, please dress casually.
Ina was born Dec. 27, 1927, in Central City, Iowa, the daughter of Frank and Mable (Nash) Boyles. She graduated from Anamosa High School. Ina served as a nurse in the United States Navy. She married Robert Paul Byers in 1953 and he preceded her in death in 1995.
Ina is survived by her four daughters, Victoria (Darrell) Smith, Barbara (Delbert) Loop, Shirley Byers and Carol (Aaron) First; grandchildren, Greg, Jeromy and Blake Lingafelter, Allen Hubbard, Melissa Loop-Anderson, Jessica Byers, Michael and Rick Sutherland, Lindsy and Danielle First; 10 great-grandchildren; and brothers, Jack and William “Bill” Boyles.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; son, William “Bill” Byers; granddaughter, Rachael Lingafelter; and sisters, Eloise Collins and Laura (Kate) Boyle.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to St. Luke's Hospice.
