Jackson, Donald T.
Donald T. Jackson, of 1261 First Ave. SE, Cedar Rapids, Iowa, died Thursday, Nov. 4, 2010, in his home. Memorial services: 1:30 p.m. today at the Cedar River at Ellis Park. Arrangements by Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids.
Survivors include his wife, Lela; sons, Derrick Thomas Brown, Darrell Thomas Baker, Darius Thomas Jackson and Steven Drake Jackson; granddaughter, Ionna Thomas; siblings, Carol Brown, Wyatt Jackson Jr., Michael Jackson, Alecia Luchin, Bonita Nash, William Jackson and Martin Jackson; special friends, Pamela Dixon and Stephanie Jackson, both of Cedar Rapids; and many nieces, nephew, cousins, family and friends.
Donald was preceded in death by his parents.
Born March 6, 1962, in Sedalia, Mo., Donald was the son of Wyatt and Imogene (Jones) Jackson Sr. In Sedalia, he attended Hubbard Elementary School and graduated from Smith Cotton High School in 1981. He served his country in the U.S. Army. On Jan. 15, 1981, he was united in marriage to Lela Brown in Sedalia, Mo. Donald was an industry worker.
Donald was loved by his family and friends and will be greatly missed.
