Susan Marie Seeley Primrose died Sept. 6, 2016, at Hallmar, Mercy Medical Center.
Born Aug. 18, 1940, in Cedar Rapids, she graduated from Jefferson High School and earned her degree from St. Luke's School of Nursing in 1961 and her BSN from Coe College in 1982. She spent her nursing career at St. Luke's Hospital, retiring in 2005.
Susan is survived by her wife, Carol Turner; son, Michael Primrose (Brenda); daughter, Christine Primrose; grandsons, Brandon Primrose and Erik Headington (Vanessa); great-granddaughter, Emma Rose Headington; best friend, Janith Griffith; and brother, Craig Seeley and family.
Her parents and grandparents preceded her in death.
Among many things, Susan will be remembered for her creativity, beautiful smile, lovely voice, and her love of music, art, travel and birding.

Memorials to the Eastern Iowa Alzheimer's Association are requested.
Susan's interests and accomplishments will be shared at her celebration from 2 to 4 p.m. Sept. 24 at Unity Center of Cedar Rapids, 3791 Blairs Ferry Rd. NE, Cedar Rapids.
