Mary Ellen Andrews, 86, of Independence, died Friday, Nov. 28, 2014, at St. Luke's Hospital, Cedar
Rapids. Fu-neral services: 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 3, at First Baptist Church, with burial in Mount Hope Cemetery, both in Independence. Visitation: 3 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at White Funeral Home, Independence.
Memorials may be directed to First Baptist Church or Independence Senior Center.

Surviving are son, Randy (Karen) Andrews, and daughter, Janine (Charles Werner) Lange, of Independence; three grand-children, Molly (Shane) Beatty, Katie (Barry) Hoover and Brian (Angie Jenkins) Andrews; and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl; her parents; one brother, Milo Stohr; and three sisters, Avanelle Randall, Evelyn Black and Therma Boies.
White Funeral Home, Independence, is in charge of arrangements.
