Grace M. Holmes, 92, died Wednesday, Dec. 3, 2014, at the Belle Plaine Nursing and Rehab Center. Services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, Dec. 8, at St. Michael's Catholic Church, with Deacon Joe Behounek presiding. Burial will be in St. Patrick's Cemetery, Tama. Visitation will be from 3 to 6 p.m. Sunday at Hrabak Funeral Home, where there will be a prayer service at 5:30 p.m.
She is survived by her husband, Ralph; daughters, Marilyn Sokol of Belle Plaine, Verna (Randy) Bell of Colorado Springs, Colo., and Diana Woznicki of Chicago; sons, Duane (Mary) Vavroch of Jewell, Gary Holmes of Weekiwachee, Fla., and Mark (Connie) Holmes of Williston, N.D.; son-in-law, John Loeb of Smithville, Tenn.; 14 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
Grace was preceded in death by her first husband, Joe Vavroch; children, Darold Vavroch and Joyce Loeb; grandson, Jeff; and her siblings, Edna, Irene, Earl and Ruth.
